I got a hair cut!

Hi bunnies, I’m back from Thanksgiving “break.”  I feel worn out as ever after spending nearly a week (5 days) at my mom’s place in Waycross.  There’s something about being away from home that really tears the body down.  I’m not sure if it’s not being in your own bed or feeling out of your element, but it’s totally true for me.  Even vacations take their toll on me.  I guess I’m forever a home body.  Boo hiss!  It was nice, though, seeing mom & my nana. :)  We did Thanksgiving dinner with some very distant family in Savannah, GA, and spent the rest of the vacation in Waycross building fires, shopping, and taking old clothes and goodies to Salvation Army.  I’m so glad my mom has finally let go of some of the things she’s been holding on to.  I know how hard it can be to get rid of your “junk.”  It truly is treasure to some people, though, and if you’re not going to use it, you gotta move on! It took me nearly 27 years to figure that out, and though I’m not sure you’d really notice, my house has undergone a lot of clean sweep in the past year and a half.

Patrick and I got rid of a lot, LOT, lot of stuff that we were holding on to but not using.  We’re still bursting at the seams, though.  That’s why the reoccuring question of thanksgiving break, “What do you want for Christmas,” was so hard for me to answer.  Patrick is saving up for a new/used bike so he can start riding to work (3.5 miles! eep!), but I really don’t need a thing!  I have, though, suggested this little beauty as the perfect gift from my mom, who actually knows how to shop on Amazon. Perhaps this Christmas I can add the UGA buddy gnome to my “garden.”  The garden, by the way, is non existent until next spring when I can actually plant.
