I spend the majority of my days working in a space that is easily viewable by others. I’ve grown accustom to having people over my shoulder, in my face, at my side, and in general, all up in my grill. Normally I don’t mind, as it has been a part of the job for several years now. Sometimes, though, when I’m goofing off online, blogging, playing a game, or looking at myspace (most of which is very rare, mind you), I often wonder what my co-workers might think of my activities. Especially when I’m caught looking at THEIR myspace profile. Not that we’re not friends online or anything like that, but still, it seems to me that I, for one, might be a little freaked out if I caught someone scoping out my page at work. It’s almost as if… well, it’s a little hard to explain. But I imagine a conversation going a little like this: “Oh, hey, yeah, I’m on myspace.” “yeah, I was looking at your page… um” “uh, well, I don’t look at it that often. seriously.” Maybe I’m just creepy.
+Patrick made his world famous (okay, house famous. whatever) chili. my mouth feels happy and a little tingly from all those peppers and garlic.
+I got a new desk for scrap booking and my laptop! It’s so nice to have my own space with no piles of paper that I’m not allowed to touch.
+I actually started the scrapbook that I’ve been yammering on about for about 3 months. Although I’ve only begun, it looks so pretty and fun already. Yeah, I’m a geek.
+Patrick is finished with his comps, and if all goes well, he will only have to write his thesis before graduating in May. Hooray! I can’t wait to have a “normal” life again!
+Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner and I’m so ready for a break! I’m even a little excited about the trip down to my mom’s house.
+omfg, cybts (can you believe this shit? yeah, i just made that one up)! democrats won the house AND the senate! My vote finally worked!
Maybe we can get this country back on track; it seems like a long shot, but at least we’ve taken a step forward.
-It’s Sunday night. Work starts again in about 9 hours. Booooo…
-The plumeria I brought back from Hawaii started to rot because the soil was just too wet. Booo…
-My hands still smell and taste like garlic. Booo…
I suppose that’s it. Most is right with the world. I’ve got a warm cozy blanket, a soft pillow, and a purring kitty. What else could a girl ask for?
