Being the huge geek that I am, I have been waiting oh so impatiently for google to beef up their great new email system, gmail. Specifically, I wanted an equally great calendar to use online with my gmail. Finally, gmail has filled my request and the requests of many more, I’m sure, with a nice, very handy calendar. I’ve been using it a little today and I really like it. Most of all I like that I can have several calendars in one, i.e.: work, personal, bills, etc., which I can view all at once or separately. The email reminders are super, too, but I am unable to have reminders sent to my mobile, yet. For some reason Verizon isn’t one of the cell phone providers listed. Still a very welcome addition. Thanks, google!
I had an amazing “golden” birthday on Tuesday. 25 on the 25th - I’d never heard of it referred to as “golden” until this year and it truly was. Despite the fact that I was home before 7:45 that evening, I had a really awesome day at work and afterwards with my buddies. I never imagined my co-workers would be so kind. I also received, from Ms. Lindsey, the most thoughtful, beautiful, tearjerking gift I’ve ever gotten. I was literally sobbing before I even opened the cover of the scrapbook she put together for me. –begin sappy aside to Lindsey — <3 Seriously, OMGWTFBFF. I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world to know you, laugh with you, and cry histarically, in public, over a hot grill with you. I’m so glad you put down your book and became my friend. –/end sappy aside to Lindsey– Anyway, thanks to everyone who made my birthday fun!
Have you ever heard of Carlton, Georgia? Me either, until earlier this week while I was looking for houses for my mom. We came across what seemed to be an amazing find in an unknown town. So P and I drove out there this weekend to check it out. It ended up taking about 25 minutes both ways from North Athens. Not too bad a drive, and certainly through a relaxing and pretty looking stretch of Georgia that I’m not familiar with. Anyway, this house that we were looking for was literally down a one way dirt road in the woods. I kind of liked it. Sometimes I think it would be nice to live out in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors or loud kids to pester me. But then I remember serial killers. :/
I’m really tired of having to work alone.
I’m really really tired of people not working their shifts.
I’m sick of having to do extra because no one helps me.
I hate my job. Normally I only hate my job on Tuesday and Thursday.
This week, I hate it on Wednesday, too.
In the time that I opened up this dumb blogger, the phone rang 6 times, and I had 4 dumb people ask me dumb questions. meh. Seriously, there’s a reason this desk was designed for two people… there’s too much work for one!#@
