I’ve been watching Olympic ski jumping for 30 minutes now… and I just realized, SNL is NOT coming on. Does anyone actually enjoy this b.s.? I can well imagine it’s something fun to do, but why on earth would someone (other than dummies like me who space out for half hours at a time) voluntarily watch ski jumping? I suppose it isn’t a common opportunity to see nerds in spandex suits fling themselves off a ramp, but once you’ve seen the first jump, how exciting are the next 20?

Five hours of sleep, for most normal people, would be enough to get by on, right? I’m asking, because I think I might be abnormal. I really need a lot of sleep. And because of this, I think I miss out on a lot of fun things that I’d rather be doing than sleeping. Or working. For example:

Seriously, what gives? All the shows I want to see are during the week and my feeble body and brain just can’t take getting in at 2 and getting up at 7. Boo hiss! I want a job that doesn’t start until at least noon.

Today, Patrick called me at work to let me know that he saw two feral cats having sex on the sidewalk. Fun times.
