Patrick got his taxes back yesterday, not to mention it was pay day, and we went ticket crazy. I’m really excited to see the shows, though. Weezer w/ the Strokes is going to be an awesome show, and I’m so glad we didn’t end up with general admission LAWN. bleh on sitting on the ground. But we’re not, so there. We also got tickets to see Jets to Brazil, Guided by Voices (again. I just hope the show is better than last time), and that British band, Wire. Remember the Elastica “rip off” of the Wire song? Well, I didn’t know that was Wire, and I like Elastica better anyway.

Also, Jucifer is tonight, but I don’t know if we’re going to go. I just want to scream at Ms. Amber Valentine for wearing 5 inch platforms to kroger. That’s the only reason I’d go see Jucifer. beh. Local bands.

I have to take my stank laptop to Hardman Hall to be repaired. I hope it doesn’t take them much longer than an hour, because it’s like $35 bucks/hr. It’s just the power supply. I might just need a new cord, but I dunno. Computers are gay.

I’m about to leave work. Deborah said I could leave 10 minutes early because no one is here. God bless her soul.

Patrick, however, is working on his day off today and won’t be off till 5:30. What in God’s name will I do until then? I guess I’ll just wonder around town. :/

I feel really stupid because Dr. Correa-Díaz just walked buy and I have the same shirt on as last time I saw him. Granted, it was last week, but we had a conversation about it. Bleh. I wear the same clothes almost every week!!! Rotation is bad.

My tab key isn’t working, and this really upsets me. I mean, all I really need to do is reboot, but that’s such a fucking hassle. I need to go call my doctor and see if he can call me in an Rx here in Athens. I don’t want to see a new doctor, you know? Because that’s even more a hassle than rebooting. Anyway.

I’m listening to a Johnny Cash cover of U2’s song, One. It really is one of the best covers I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s like hearing the song for the first time. It makes me cry, and then I feel silly. This played at the reception, but I don’t think anyone heard it. They were all too busy um. Doing stuff.

I’m really bored and lonely here today. I have to go to work at 1:00, but still, it will be just as quiet and lonely there. I kind of hate it when it’s not busy. Fall will be better. Fall will be better! I had to speak to another Chinese girl yesterday who kept asking for “teki tofu” and I’m like, what the hell is that?! Michael didn’t understand either, so we just sent her to the Language lab hoping they’d know what the heck “teki tofu” was. Chinese accents are so hard for me to understand. Why, God? WHY? I don’t even know why they were in Gilbert hall, because Chinese isn’t a romance language, for goodness sake. That’s way over in Park Hall! hmpf. Maybe we’re the only building with “teki tofu.” Yeah, I guess that’s it.

So, geekcore is down. I was going to cancel my account this week, but they say if I want to keep the name, I have to pay them like $35, which is totally stupid and wrong because I own that name already with an entirely different company. Aplus.net is gay. I have to call them today, but they’re on the west cost and it’s only like 7:41 there. Damn those Californianians. Right. Whatever.

There’s too much I want to do with not enough money. I’m kind of hoping that if we sign a new year lease, they’ll give us a free months rent, which would be great because I’d go buy a new sofa. Yay!
