Now, I already had a very well formed (you might say "fossilized") opinion that our esteemed leader, ( \/\/ ), and "Uncle Dick" are really "pieces of work," to say the least, and to do so politely.

The Gonzales testimony is a fucking bonanza of prevaricated denials and expert obfuscation though! Kind of makes all that "I did not have sex with that woman" bullshit look as trivial as it actually was, doesn't it?

I say thanks as always to Jon Stewart, et al, for their keeping me so well informed and entertained at the same time. It is reassuring to see that the nation's attorney general is just as incompetent as the chief executive. It's also, although filled with schadenfreude, gratifying to see that they are indeed on the defensive now.

I probably wouldn't have posted right now otherwise. I'm trying to do the work that I absolutely need to do instead. The truth is, if I weren't doing this right now, I'd be taking a pre-concert nap.

another request

Last week I asked a bunch of you to light a candle, think good thoughts, pray, whatever you feel most comfortable doing to try to help Holly get a job she wanted. I am now asking you to do the same for me as I am trying to write a shitload for my thesis this weekend. As this entry plainly demonstrates, when left to my own devices, I tend to get distracted, thus delaying the completion of nearly any task.
